What is an .PVA file?

.PVA is PVA Video File

Video format used by TechnoTrend's TI TMS320AV711z based digital video broadcasting (DVB) PCI boards; also used by Hauppauge, Siemens, Galaxis, and other compatible DVB hardware; consists of a sequence of audio/video packets with no file header or trailer.

PVA files contain an MPEG-2 program stream similar to the TMS320AV710 video and audio decoder input buffer format. They also include timing information that is used to keep the audio and video in sync even when there are transmission errors.
