.PBZ File Extension

The pbz file extension is associated with the Google Picasa a photo and picture image editor and manager.

The pbz files are used by Picasa Button API. They are compressed ZIP archives that contain Picasa button files (pbf file extension) and Photoshop files (psd file extension).

The pbz file contains settings of Picasa individual button and psd file contains button graphics.

To view content of Picasa button zip files use any compression utility like WinZip, WinRAR etc., only rename pbz file extension to zip file extension.

Google Picasa is obsolete product replaced by Google Photos.

.PBZ file format is deprecated and this file format is no longer supported.

Currently, .PBZ file type is not actively used and is obsolete. This usually happens with system files in older operating systems, files from long-discontinued software, or with previous versions of some file types (documents, projects, images, etc.) that were replaced in later versions of the original programs.

To view content of Google Picasa button files use WinZip, WinRAR or any other compression utility that supports unpack of ZIP files.

How to convert:

As far as we know, this .pbz file type can't be converted to any other file format. This is usually the case of system, configuration, temporary, or data files containing data exclusive to only one software and used for its own purposes. Also some proprietary or closed file formats cannot be converted to more common file types in order to protect the intellectual property of the developer, which is for example the case of some DRM-protected multimedia files.
