.EZZ File Extension

The ezz file extension is mainly related to the Alpha Crypt, a variant of TeslaCrypt or Cryptolocker malicious software, also known as ransomware.

It encrypts user's documents, spreadsheets, Outlook data files, pictures, Photoshop files, PDF files etc. and demands ransom for the decryption key. Alpha Crypt may also encrypt game save files, replays and other game data files from popular computer games as World of Warcraft, World of Tanks etc.

How to open:

There is no 100% successful way how to remove encryption without pay to virus developers. However people are working on a decryption utility and for example Cisco TeslaDecrypt utility is partially successful in certain scenarios.

How to convert:

As far as we know, this .ezz file type can't be converted to any other file format. This is usually the case of system, configuration, temporary, or data files containing data exclusive to only one software and used for its own purposes. Also some proprietary or closed file formats cannot be converted to more common file types in order to protect the intellectual property of the developer, which is for example the case of some DRM-protected multimedia files.
