Groove file created by BeatSlicer and BeatCreator, which are tools that allow users to slice beats to manipulate loops; contains the slicing scheme of a .WAV loop file; does not contain the actual audio data

In FL Studio, select File → Import → Beat to slice... and select your WAV file to access the utility and create the ZGR file.

How to Open .ZGR file on different platforms

Open .ZGR File on Windows

  • Right-click a .ZGR
  • Left-click "Open With" > "Choose another app"
  • Select the program that opens .ZGR file and Select check box "Always use this app to open .ZGR files" Press "Ok"

  • Right-click (or Ctrl + Left-click) the .ZGR file
  • Click "Open With" > "Other.."
  • Then choose another program from the app list and press "Open"
