File created in the Visual Took Markup Language (VTML) format; allows developers to extend an application user interface with new language tags; often used for defining code hinting, code completion, and tag formatting functions.

VTML files are used by applications such as Adobe Dreamweaver. They are also used by older applications such as Adobe ColdFusion Studio, Macromedia HomeSite, and JRun Studio.

How to Open .VTML file on different platforms

Open .VTML File on Windows

  • Right-click a .VTML
  • Left-click "Open With" > "Choose another app"
  • Select the program that opens .VTML file and Select check box "Always use this app to open .VTML files" Press "Ok"

Open .VTML File on Mac

  • Right-click (or Ctrl + Left-click) the .VTML file
  • Click "Open With" > "Other.."
  • Then choose another program from the app list and press "Open"
