What is a .SPFX file extension?

.SPFX file extension is created by Sorenson Media. .SPFX has been classified as Settings Files. The format of .SPFX file is XML.

.SPFX is Squeeze Presets File

Settings file used by Squeeze, a video transcoding application; saves preset values for performing a video conversion; often used for sharing presets with others through the Sorenson Media Presets Exchange website.

Presets enable users to save settings for common conversions. For example, a preset may include the parameters necessary to convert any imported video to a format suitable for YouTube, an iPhone, a PlayStation 3, or an Xbox 360.

SPFX presets can be imported by selecting Preset → Import... from the Squeeze application menu. Presets can be exported by choosing Preset → Export. The files are saved using XML formatting, so you can view them in any text editor.

You can go directly to the Sorenson Media Presets Exchange website by choosing Preset → Get More Presets from the Squeeze application menu.

NOTE: Sorenson Squeeze was discontinued in 2018.

How to fix problems with .SPFX files
