An SPD file is a note created by S Note, an advanced note taking application developed by Samsung for use with Samsung mobile devices, such as Galaxy S and Galaxy Note. It contains a note, which may include typed or handwritten text, drawings, charts, audio, and images. SPD files replaced .SNB files.
Notes created with S Note can be exported to several formats, which include SPD, JPEG, plain text, and PDF. The notes can also be synced across multiple devices with a Samsung account.
You can open SPD files with S Note installed on your device. You can also open SPD files on your computer by replacing the ".spd" extension with ".zip" to create a .ZIP file. You can then extract the contents with a Zip decompression program, such as Corel WinZip or Apple Archive Utility. Files stored in the SPD file include .PAGE, .BIN, and .DAT.
NOTE: SPD files may be secured with 128-bit encoding if they are locked with a password. It is not possible to recover a lost password for an SPD file.
