.SLDTM is SDL Translation Memory File

Data file created by SDL Trados Studio language translation software; stores a "translation memory," which is a linguistic database that saves translation data as a user translates written information; includes "100% matches" as well as "fuzzy matches."

SLDTM files are used for storing the progress as more translations are identified and added to the translation memory. The saved data can then be used for suggesting translation matches or automatically translating text.

NOTE: SLDTM files are used by SDL Trados Studio 2009 and later.

How to Open .SLDTM file on different platforms

Open .SLDTM File on Windows

  • Right-click a .SLDTM
  • Left-click "Open With" > "Choose another app"
  • Select the program that opens .SLDTM file and Select check box "Always use this app to open .SLDTM files" Press "Ok"
