What is a .SITE file extension?

.SITE file extension is created by Adobe Systems. .SITE has been classified as Web Files.

.SITE is GoLive Website Project File

Site file for a website created with Adobe GoLive; contains list of Web pages, images, links, errors, site settings, and other information; includes references to Web pages, CSS files, images, components, and templates, but does not include the data from the files.

The GoLive site file should be stored in the root level of the project folder. GoLive automatically creates a backup of the site file, named "[projectname] Backup.site" in the same folder in case the original site file becomes corrupted.

NOTE: Adobe GoLive has been discontinued in favor of Adobe Dreamweaver.
