.SEB is Safe Exam Browser Configuration File
A SEB file is a configuration file used by Safe Exam Browser (SEB), an application used to securely take online exams. It contains settings that configure the parameters of an exam and the accessible parts of the user's computer. SEB files are encrypted and require a password in order to not be tampered with by users taking exams on unmanaged computers.
SEB files can be configured by the exam administrator for various purposes. They can be set for starting an exam, which means you can double-click the file on order to begin the exam. Or an SEB file can be set to configure a client, which means that the next time the SEB application is opened it will use the settings in the SEB file.
Safe Exam Browser is an application that secures a computer for taking an exam. It consists of two parts: the kiosk application and the browser. The kiosk app blocks access to certain web sites, applications, and unauthorized computer resources during an exam. The browser connects over the Internet with the quiz module running on a server.
