.RPRES is R Presentation File

Presentation file created and used by RStudio, an open source IDE for the R programming language; contains information formatted in Markdown syntax that describes presentation slides based on your .RPROJ file; includes slide titles, author and date, slide content, R code chunks that display code, embedded images, and the slide background color.

RStudio introduced presentations in version 0.98 and they're designed to help you create HTML5 presentations, which are useful for teaching in the classroom setting. The default save location of your presentation is in the folder that was created when you saved your R project. The file extension used by an RStudio project appears as ".Rpres".

NOTE: To create an R presentation, select New File → R Presentation. You can double-click the RPROJ file to directly open the project.
