A QDF file contains a design used by Quadro, a program that allows users to design and build playsets, karts, and more. It stores a design, which includes components, such as tubes, panels, and connectors that make up the structure. QDF files are used to create a large variety of objects, such as playsets, pools, karts, and locomotives.

To open a QDF file in Quadro, simply select File → Open.... To save a QDF file in Quadro, select File → Save or Save as....

The QDF file is used to save a model built by a user in Quadro that can be closed and reopened for further editing. After completing the design, the user prints the design and builds it with the necessary Quadro components.

How to Open .QDF file on different platforms

Open .QDF File on Windows

  • Right-click a .QDF
  • Left-click "Open With" > "Choose another app"
  • Select the program that opens .QDF file and Select check box "Always use this app to open .QDF files" Press "Ok"

Open .QDF File on Mac

  • Right-click (or Ctrl + Left-click) the .QDF file
  • Click "Open With" > "Other.."
  • Then choose another program from the app list and press "Open"
  • Select check box "Turn on" for "Always open in app"

Right click on the .QDF file, choose "Open with" and select a program from the list above

Select a file. If you don't see an application to open the .QDF file, tap "Share" and choose the right app.
