Medtronic Programmer Data File

Developer by: Medtronic Category: Data Files

Stores patient session information created by the Medtronic CareLink programmer (such as the 2090 model); used to save data recorded by a Medtronic Chronicle Implantable Hemodynamic Monitor (IHM); often saved to a IBM-formatted 3.5" disk to store the data for future reference.

PDD files can be opened from the Chronicle software (i.e. Chronicle 9520B) by opening the "Select Model" screen and selecting Devices→Other. Then choose "Chronicle 9520B-Read From Disk" and follow the on-screen instructions.

How to fix problems with .PDD files

  1. You need to update the application that you normally use to open .PDD files. Only the latest version of the software supports the current .PDD file format
  2. You need to check the .PDD file for viruses. To do this, you need to scan it with a popular antivirus (Norton, Nod32, Kaspersky, Dr.Web, etc.)
