.MMP file extension is created by Nokia. .MMP has been classified as Settings Files. The format of .MMP file is Text.

.MMP is Symbian Project Specification File

Project file used by Symbian OS development tools; contains project properties used to build the project regardless of the platform or compiler being used; used by the Symbian SDK's makmake or abld tools to convert the file into a makefile for a specific platform.

MMP files may contain references to targets, source code files to be compiled, include directories, and application resources.

NOTE: Nokia Symbian SDK is no longer available.

Project created by LMMS (Linux MultiMedia Studio), a music creation program; contains LMMS project data such as track edits, tempo, pitch, volume, and included instrument types; can be exported as .WAV and .OGG audio files.

To create the MMP file, click the save icon in the top-left of the application or select Project → Save or Save As..., name your project, choose the save location, and click Save.

To open the MMP file, you can simply double-click the file. You can also open the project inside of the application, select Project → Open..., navigate to your file, select it, and click Open.

NOTE: LMMS replaced the MMP file extension with the .MMPZ extension.

How to fix problems with .MMP files

  1. You need to update the application that you normally use to open .MMP files. Only the latest version of the software supports the current .MMP file format
  2. You need to check the .MMP file for viruses. To do this, you need to scan it with a popular antivirus (Norton, Nod32, Kaspersky, Dr.Web, etc.)
