Game data file used by the Command & Conquer (C&C) real-time strategy games; may contain game scenarios, movies, music, and sounds; examples of MIX files installed with C&C games include "conquer.mix," "local.mix," "movies.mix," and "music.mix."

File Type 2 3ds Max Motion Mixer File
Animation file created by the Motion Mixer component of the 3ds Max animation and modeling software; stores a multi-track mix of motion clips, which are stored in .BIP or .XAF files; used for compositing multiple motions into a single animation.
Motion Mixer mixes stores information similar to the structure of a multi-track audio mix. The motion clips are similar to audio clips, since users can place clips anywhere on the timeline and add transitions and effects.
MIX files can be reused across several different biped models (two-footed models). They can also be produced to a "mixdown," which can be used for correcting and smoothing abnormal or jittery animation movements.

File Type 3 Microsoft Image Exchange File
Vector image created by PhotoDraw 2000, a drawing program included with Microsoft Office 2000; supports both vector and raster graphics; used for storing images that can be included in Microsoft Office documents.
MIX files were originally designed for use with Microsoft Picture It!, the predecessor to PhotoDraw 2000. Picture It! became part of the Microsoft Digital Image Suite, which was discontinued in 2006. However, many of the suite's features were included in the Windows Vista operating system.
NOTE: PhotoDraw 2000 was discontinued after version 2.

NOTE: Climax Racing first developed MotoGP and was acquired by Buena Vista Studios in 2006 and renamed Black Rock Studio. Climax Racing/Black Rock Studio developed the first 5 MotoGP games up until MotoGP 07 for the PC platform. Milestone developed the most recent game, MotoGP 13.
