.LQT File Extension

The lqt file extension is associated with Liquid audio by Liquid Audio Inc. It was formed in May 1996 by experts in the music and technology industries and was the first company to deliver secure music over the Internet.

The Liquid Audio player had the first digital music commerce system featuring copy protection and copyright management, as well as the first and largest digital music distribution network. The company's catalog of music is one of the largest in the world. In Microsoft bought Liquid Audio's DRM patents in 2002. Liquid Audio became Liquid Digital Media in January 2003 after being acquired by wholesaler Anderson Media, a large media distributor.

.LQT file format is deprecated and this file format is no longer supported.

Currently, .LQT file type is not actively used and is obsolete. This usually happens with system files in older operating systems, files from long-discontinued software, or with previous versions of some file types (documents, projects, images, etc.) that were replaced in later versions of the original programs.

How to convert:

As far as we know, this .lqt file type can't be converted to any other file format. This is usually the case of system, configuration, temporary, or data files containing data exclusive to only one software and used for its own purposes. Also some proprietary or closed file formats cannot be converted to more common file types in order to protect the intellectual property of the developer, which is for example the case of some DRM-protected multimedia files.
