What is an .L file?

.L is Lex language source code

The l file extension is commonly used by Lex, originally written by Eric Schmidt and Mike Lesk, a standard lexical analyzer generator on many Unix systems, and a tool exhibiting its behavior is specified as part of the POSIX standard.

The l file contains Lex source code.

How to open:

Use any source code editor to view content of *.l files.

How to convert:

As far as we know, this .l file type can't be converted to any other file format. This is usually the case of system, configuration, temporary, or data files containing data exclusive to only one software and used for its own purposes. Also some proprietary or closed file formats cannot be converted to more common file types in order to protect the intellectual property of the developer, which is for example the case of some DRM-protected multimedia files.
