KDC files are commonly named with a three-letter prefix followed by a three-digit counter for the file update number (i.e., base001.kdc, base002.kdc, etc.).

In Mac OS X, KDC files are located within the /Library/Application Support/Kaspersky Lab/KAV/Bases/ directory.
