.JPF is JPEG 2000 Image
A JPF file is an image saved in the JPEG 2000 (JP2) format, which is a successor to the .JPEG image format. It supports image transparency and may incorporate lossy or lossless compression. JPF files are typically used for saving digital photos.
The JP2 format was created in 2000 by the Joint Photographic Experts Group (JPEG) committee to replace the JPEG format. However, the reception of the format was minimal as the JPEG format is still overwhelmingly favored.
NOTE: Most JPEG 2000 images are saved as .JP2 or .JPX files, but may also be saved as .J2K files.
