File used by InCopy, a word processing program used with the Adobe InDesign page layout application; contains page layout graphics and frames that are exported from InDesign; used to submit a subset of an .INDD file for editing.
INCX files are edited using InCopy. They can only be modified by the editor who has been given permission with an issued .INCA file. INCX files are typically accessed over a network.
NOTE: INCX files are used by InDesign and InCopy CS3 and earlier. Versions CS4 and later use the .ICML extension.
