The huge file extension is most likely best known for its use in the iFixit, a web server that contains various instructions used to repair devices from Apple and other producers.

The huge file contains picture image in JPEG bitmap format uploaded to iFixit. These files are created when you view a picture stored on iFixit using a Google Chrome, or Chromium browsers - right click on picture and select Save picture as... option.

Chrome for some reasons wants to save picture with huge file extension. But you can rename it back should you need it.

Other web browsers, such as Firefox, or Internet Explorer save pictures from iFixit with original jpg extension.


How to open:

Rename huge to jpg and use any picture image viewer like, XnView, Preview etc. to view content of JPEG picture files, or any picture editing software.
