What is a .GRF file extension?
.GRF file extension is created by Gravity. .GRF has been classified as Game Files.
.GRF is Ragnarok Client Archive
Compressed file archive used by Ragnarok Online, a Korean multiplayer game; includes compressed images, sounds, and other data files loaded by Ragnarok.
The contents of a Ragnarok GRF file can be browsed and extracted using GRF Factory, a free utility available at neatocool.com.Common GRF Filenames
data.grf and sdata.grf - Common names for Ragnarok GRF files that are installed with other game files.
File Type 2 Transport Tycoon Graphics Resource File
Resource file used by the Transport Tycoon (TT) and Transport Tycoon Deluxe (TTD) railroad business simulation games; contains a collection of sprites, which store the 2D graphics for game objects; used for displaying and animating railroad vehicles, scenery, and other game objects.
The original version of GRF files supported simple sprites. However, the new open source variants of Transport Tycoon, including OpenTTD and TTDPatch, support new graphics data in GRF files. OpenTTD's new format, called NewGRF, can include data for vehicles, cargo, buildings, railroad types, and industries.
OpenTTD provides GRF game packages, which are downloadable NewGRF files that can be applied to the game to display custom graphics and to alter game properties.
File Type 3 DPlot Graph File
2D or 3D graph created by DPlot, a program used for plotting scientific data; saves the graph type and associated data; used for distribution plots, wireframe meshes, 3D projections, polar charts, probability charts, triangle plots, hydraulic scales, and many other types of graphs.
DPlot is primarily used by scientists, engineers, and other technical professionals. The graphs are often included in presentations and scientific journal articles.
NOTE: GRF files can be viewed with the free DPlot Viewer.
File Type 4 Grapher Graph File
File created by Grapher, an application used for making 2D and 3D graphs; can store one of many different kinds of graphs, such as a line, scatter, or bar graph; also supports advanced plotting types such as a ternary, box-whisker, and hi-low-close plots.
Graphs created in Grapher are used for creating technical graphs for publication and presentations.
NOTE: GRF files do not contain the source data used to generate the graph. They only store the rendered graph and parameters required for scaling. This differs from .GPJ files, which contain the data as well as the rendered graph.
File Type 5 CloverDX Data Transformation Graph
Data transformation file created by Javlin CloverDX Designer, an Eclipse-based data integration application; saved using XML formatting and contains a diagram of data readers, writers, transformers, and other data manipulators; used for data integration, cleansing, migration, and warehousing; can be run on a desktop computer for smaller jobs or on a cluster of CloverDX servers for larger jobs.
The CloverDX suite includes several editions of the software, including Community, Desktop, Enterprise, Cluster, and OEM versions. The GRF files are created using the CloverDX Designer, which is included with each software edition.
The Eclipse IDE is a free Java development application and CloverDX Desktop is a set of proprietary Eclipse plugins that allow CloverDX projects and GRF files to be created.
NOTE: Javlin CloverDX was formerly known as Javlin CloverETL.
File Type 6 Generic Graph File
Graph created by a number of different possible programs, including Micrografx Graph Plus, GraphEdit, and Accelrys Insight II.
