.FXT is Grand Theft Auto Fake Text File

Text message file used by Grand Theft Auto with the CLEO GxtHook.cleo plug-in installed; saved in a plain text format and contains a text message that is sent to the player during GTA gameplay; used for pager and phone texts in the game.

In order to display text messages in GTA, FXT files must be saved to the \CLEO_TEXT\ directory within the CLEO installation folder.

NOTE: CLEO is a set of Dynamic Link Libraries (.DLL files) that have the file extension ".cleo." The GxtHook.cleo library must be installed in order for FXT files to be loaded into the game.
