What are .FXB files and how to open them?

Can't open .FXB file? Are you wondering what it contains? On our site we will explain to you what this file is, what it is used for and what software opens the .FXB file.

What is a .FXB file extension?

.FXB file extension is created by Steinberg. .FXB has been classified as Settings Files.

.FXB is FX Bank File

File used by VST-compatible audio-recording applications; contains a bank of presets for a specific effect, which often comes in the form of a VST plugin; used to save multiple presets, while the .FXP file is used to store individual presets.

To import a FXB file in Steinberg Cubase, load your effect from the "Earlier VST Plug-ins" folder, and click the SoundFrame button, which will open the Preset Management pop-up menu. Then, select Import FXB/FXP..., locate your FXB file, and click Open. If you want to convert an FXB file to the newer .VSTPRESET format, select "Convert Program List to VST Presets." Your converted presets will then be stored in the "VST 3 Preset" folder.

NOTE: FXP and FXB files were replaced by VST 3 presets with the ".vstpreset" extension.
