The crypt10 file extension appears to be used by some of the older versions of WhatsApp Messenger, an instant messaging service and client for various mobile platforms.

The .crypt10 file stores encrypted and protected database with chat history similar to SQLite database format.

By default, the file is called: msgstore.db.crypt10 and is stored on phone SDcard/WhatsApp/Databases folder.

.CRYPT10 file format is deprecated and this file format is no longer supported.

Currently, .CRYPT10 file type is not actively used and is obsolete. This usually happens with system files in older operating systems, files from long-discontinued software, or with previous versions of some file types (documents, projects, images, etc.) that were replaced in later versions of the original programs.
