.CRYPT10 is WhatsApp Messenger encrypted message database backup

The crypt10 file extension appears to be used by some of the older versions of WhatsApp Messenger, an instant messaging service and client for various mobile platforms.

The .crypt10 file stores encrypted and protected database with chat history similar to SQLite database format.

By default, the file is called: msgstore.db.crypt10 and is stored on phone SDcard/WhatsApp/Databases folder.

This crypt10 file type entry was marked as obsolete and no longer supported file format.
