.COS is Capture One Settings File

Image settings file created by Capture One, a program used for editing and organizing digital photos; saves image adjustments (exposure, color temperature, white balance, etc.) and other nondestructive edits for a photo.

When image adjustments are made, Capture One saves a COS file that has the same name as the original image but with the added ".cos" extension. For example, if you make adjustments to myphoto.jpg, Capture One saves a myphoto.jpg.cos file. When final adjustments are made, you can process, or "bake," the settings and photo together into an output image with all adjustments applied.

Developer by: Creature Labs Category: Game Files Format: Text

Script used by several of the games in the Creatures the artificial life game series; saved in the Creatures Object Source Code (CAOS) format and used by games such as Creatures 1-3, Creatures Playground, and Creatures Adventures.

COS files are used for defining the behaviors of the "agents" in the world. They describe agent actions to be taken based on certain events. COS files are generally located within the \Bootstrap\ game installation directory.

Players sometimes modify, or "inject," COS files to create custom game content. However, if you decide to modify a COS script, you should do so with caution, since it can cause the game to malfunction.

NOTE: Creatures is no longer developed and not available for download.
