.CONFIGPROFILE is Apple Configuration Profile

Configuration file created for the Mac operating system; located in System Preferences, an application included on the Mac platform; contains setup information, such as password policies, Wi-Fi settings, access permissions, and proxy connection information.

To install a configuration profile, either download it (if it's posted on a website) or open the attachment (if it was emailed to you), the profile should open in Profiles preferences, click Install.

To see an installed profile click the Apple icon in the top-left of your screen, choose System Preferences... then click Profiles. Select your desired profile from the Profiles list to view the information. If you have not installed any configuration profiles then the Profiles pane in System Preferences will not appear.

To remove a configuration profile click the Apple icon in the top-left of your screen, choose System Preferences... then click Profiles. Select your desired profile from the Profiles, then click Delete (-).

How to fix problems with .CONFIGPROFILE files

  1. You need to update the application that you normally use to open .CONFIGPROFILE files. Only the latest version of the software supports the current .CONFIGPROFILE file format
  2. You need to check the .CONFIGPROFILE file for viruses. To do this, you need to scan it with a popular antivirus (Norton, Nod32, Kaspersky, Dr.Web, etc.)
