.CHPROJ is Adobe Character Animator Project

A CHPROJ file contains an animation project created by Adobe Character Animator, a program used to create 2D animations of illustrated characters. It stores information about the project which includes one or more scenes and any characters (also called "puppets"), graphics, sound effects, music, and voiceovers imported in the project. CHPROJ files do not contain actual media, only references to the locations of media files.

Character Animator projects are only supported by Adobe Character Animator. The CHPROJ files can be created, modified, saved, and exported with Character Animator. Since CHPROJ files are only supported by Character Animator, they should only be shared with other Character Animator users.

To open a CHPROJ file in Character Animator, select File → Open Project... or double-click the icon of the CHPROJ file if Character Animator is already associated with the CHPROJ file. To create a CHPROJ file in Adobe Character Animator, select File → New Project..., modify the project, then select File → Save Project or Save Project As....

NOTE: To convert a CHPROJ file to another format in Character Animator, select File → Export and choose the format to which you would like to export the project.
