What is an .BFG file?

.BFG is Big Fish Games Application File

Application configuration file used by the Big Fish Games (BFG) Game Manager, a program that runs games downloaded from the Big Fish Games online service; saved using XML formatting and contains configuration information used for launching the game.

BFS files are installed with each downloaded game and are not part of the BFG Game Manager installation. They have the filenames LaunchGame.bfg and UnlockGame.bfg.

How to solve problems with BFG files

If you do not see an app to open the file, then tap Share "Share" and choose an app. Alternatively, save the file. Then open the Files app Files app. There long-press on the file, then release your finger. You will see a black menu bar. Then tap "Share" and select an app. Android: Tap the Settings icon on your smartphone, then tap on the Apps section. There tap the Options icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen to change the default apps.
  • Update your software that should actually open .BFG is Big Fish Games Application File. Because only the current version supports the latest BFG file format. Search, therefore, e.g. on the Big Fish Games manufacturer website after an available .BFG is Big Fish Games Application File update.
