.AUZ is Ableton Authorization File
Software license file used by Ableton Live, an audio production application often used for creating electronic mixes; contains a software registration key that allows users to authorize a legal copy of the software; can be double-clicked to complete the authorization.
AUZ files are used for offline registration when the computer doesn't have an Internet connection. To register offline, you must 1) generate a "hardware code" from the offline computer, 2) go to the Ableton offline authorization Web page on different computer that is connected to the Internet, 3) download the AUZ file using the "hardware code," and 4) transfer the AUZ file to the offline computer and registers the software.
