What is an .AUE file?

The aue file extension is used for the default geospatial organization files used in the Annotated Urban Environments by Terrasim.

The aue file contains both the geospatial source data elements and a variety of derived data layers.

Currently, .AUE file type is not actively used and is obsolete. How to Open .AUE file on different platforms

Open .AUE File on Windows

  • Right-click a .AUE
  • Left-click "Open With" > "Choose another app"
  • Select the program that opens .AUE file and Select check box "Always use this app to open .AUE files" Press "Ok"

Open .AUE File on Mac

  • Right-click (or Ctrl + Left-click) the .AUE file
  • Click "Open With" > "Other.."
  • Then choose another program from the app list and press "Open"
  • Select check box "Turn on" for "Always open in app"
