.ATF is Axon Text File

Data format used by GenePix microarray analysis software; uses a plain text, tab-delimited format and contains records, each with one or more fields; can be used interchangeably with GenePix software, text editors, and spreadsheet programs, such as Microsoft Excel.

The ATF format is used for other GenePix file formats, including .GAL and .GPR files.

NOTE: Axon Instruments, the original developer of the ATF format, was acquired by Molecular Devices, who uses the ATF, GAL, and GPR formats with their GenePix software.

File created by AlternativaPlayer, a 3D model online viewer; contains an exported texture from the online program overlaid on the 3D model; located within the "model" folder of the folder in the .ZIP file created by the program.

To create the ATF file:

Select Export to A3D in the top left corner of the window.

In the "Export to A3D" dialog box, select Export.

In the next "Export to A3D" dialog box, select Save the file.

In the next dialog box, choose the file name, save location, and then click Save.

File is held along with the .A3D file in the "model" folder in the ZIP file.

To load and view the ATF file:

Select Load model in the top left corner of the window.

In the next dialog box, navigate to the location of your A3D file, select Open.

When the "Missing textures" dialog box opens, select Pick textures.

Choose your ATF file, select Open.

File Type 3 Photoshop Transfer Function File

Stores transfer information used to compensate for dot gain/loss when an image is transferred to film; can add or subtract dot percentages, which enables pictures to be printed with consistent color.

Transfer settings can be created by clicking the "Transfer" button in the Photoshop Print dialog box. The settings can be saved as an ATF file by clicking "Save" in the resulting dialog box.
