What is an .AMB file?

.AMB is All My Books Database File

File created by All My Books, a personal book organizer for Windows; saves a catalog of information about both hard copy books and eBook files (e.g., .MOBI, .AZW, .PRC, .FB2, .LRF, etc.); used for keeping an inventory of personal book collections.

All My Books can retrieve information from online databases in order to automatically populate AMB files.

NOTE: AMB files are saved in the .MDB (Microsoft Access) format.

Model created with AIMMS (Advanced Integrated Multidimensional Modeling Software); contains identifier declarations, procedures, and functions that make up the core of the model; based on the proprietary AIMMS modeling language.

AMB files are saved along with an associated AIMMS project (.PRJ) file. A text version of an AIMMS model file can be exported as a .AIM file.

How to solve problems with AMB files

  • Associate the AMB file extension with the correct application. On :
    Windows: Right click on any AMB file and then click "Open with" > "Choose another app". Now select another program and check the box "Always use this app to open *.AMB files". Mac: Right click (or Ctrl-click) the AMB file, then click "Open with" > "Other...". Then choose another program and check the "Always Open With" box. Linux: Right click on the file, and select "Open with" and choose another program. iPhone: Tap the file. If you do not see an app to open the file, then tap Share "Share" and choose an app. Alternatively, save the file. Then open the Files app Files app. There long-press on the file, then release your finger. You will see a black menu bar. Then tap "Share" and select an app. Android: Tap the Settings icon on your smartphone, then tap on the Apps section. There tap the Options icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen to change the default apps.
  • Update your software that should actually open .AMB is All My Books Database File. Because only the current version supports the latest AMB file format. Search, therefore, e.g. on the Bolide Software manufacturer website after an available .AMB is All My Books Database File update.
  • To make sure that your AMB file is not corrupted or virus-infected, get the file again and scan it with antivirus software.
