What is a .ADBLOCK file extension?

.ADBLOCK is Alpha Five Library Temporary File

Temporary file created by Alpha Five, an IDE that enables users to develop Web applications; contains data that prohibits database refreshing by more than one user; removed by Alpha Five after refreshing is complete.

The ADBLOCK file is utilized by Alpha Five to lock the database in order to keep only one user refreshing the database at a time. If a user begins the refreshing process but does not finish it, Alpha Five won't erase the file. You will then receive a message indicating that another user is refreshing the database. If this happens, just delete the ADBLOCK file and try to refresh it again.

NOTE: In 2013, Alpha Five became Alpha Anywhere.
