._PDF File Extension

The _pdf file extension is associated with the PDF (Portable Document Format) developed by Adobe in 1993.

Portable Document Format is used to represent document independent of application software, operating systems and hardware.

PDF file stores complete description of document layout, texts, fonts, graphics used to visualize document.

The default file extension of Adobe Portable Document Format is pdf. However, sometimes is PDF document representing by extension _pdf, created for example by any e-mail client, or antivirus software due security reasons.

If your PDF viewer doesn't support opening _pdf files, simply rename _pdf to pdf extension and PDF document will be viewable in it.
